75 years ago, on November 5, 1939, the parish church of Schaanwald, a village in the north of Liechtenstein, was consecrated and its bells christened. To mark the anniversary of the church dedicated to Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, a special mass was celebrated on Sunday. Apart from the President of Liechtenstein's parliament, Albert Frick, and a number of other politicians, Prince Nikolaus and Princess Margaretha were also among the church attenders. Prince Nikolaus in the Principality's non-resident ambassador to the Holy See.
I have always been impressed by Prince Nikolaus' involvement in spiritual matters as well as diplomatic issues. He is a wonderful representative of Liechtenstein. He and Princess Margaretha also have a good sense of humour!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like you have met them personally? How intriguing!
ReplyDeleteYes, I had the pleasure of meeting them some years ago. They play a very positive role in various fields, and I hope that they will remain active for many more years to come.
