On the 17th, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attended the opening of the exhibition "UNexpected Treasures" at the Musée National d’Histoire Naturelle (MNHN). The exhibition features a range of cultural objects that are considered to belong "non seulement aux instituts mais à tous les citoyens" (not only to institutions but to all of the citizens). "UNexpected Treasures" is organized in connection with the European Year of Cultural Heritage and reflects the varied and changing culture, from ancient evidence of human ancestry to the evolving technology of virtual reality.

Also present were Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Secretary of State for Culture Guy Arendt.
