Hereditary Grand Duke in Liège

100 years ago today, the German troops crossed the border into neighbouring Belgium thus committing a breach of neutrality and starting World War I, a conflict that would ultimately claim over 16 million lives. Representatives from various nations including royals from Belgium, Great Britain, Spain and Luxembourg gathered today in Liège to commemorate the event. The Grand Duchy was represented by Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume appearing in his father's place.

Visuals of the event can be found all over the world wide web. For Luxembourg-specific ones, have a look on the website of the cour, Wort and APA.
