During the Vinexpo last month, Prince Robert welcomed the German Minister for Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle and his French counterpart Alain Juppé, who also serves as the mayor of Bordeaux, at Château Haut-Brion.
Juppé had invited the German minister to the opening of the Vinexpo and afterwards they visited the Château in Pessac to have lunch and a guided tour through the castle led by Prince Robert himself. Afterwards, they opened a few bottles of wine from significant years of German history and the life of the two fellow ministers.
Château Haut-Brion also hosted the opening dinner of the Vinexpo; in case you have your binoculars handy, have a look at the WineEnthusiast Magazine to see a picture of Prince Robert, Princess Julie and their guests.
