On the 20th, Grand Duke Henri awarded the Civil and Military Order of Adolphe of Nassau for 2017, with Grand Duchess Maria Teresa also in attendance for the event. Those receiving the Order included the following: members of the Luxembourg Army (including Military Music members), members of the Police grand-ducale, staff members of the Cour grand-ducale, members of government administration, and members of the Suites grand-ducales.
Additionally, a number of public figures (shown above in the photograph) received the Order, including Guy Wagner of the Banque de Luxembourg, Lihong Zhou of the Bank of China's Luxembourg branch, economist Maria Nowak, Luxembourg-based dentist Maria Teresa Weitzel, physician Dr. Yves Lammar, BGL BNP Paribas Director Carlo Thelen, Banque de Luxembourg CEO Pierre Ahlborn, and Luxembourg judo Olympian Marie Muller, among others.
On the same day, Grand Duke Jean also presented the same order to a member of his staff, at Château de Fischbach.
