For those regularly following the whereabouts of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Blessed Emperor Karl of Austria (1887-1922) and his wife, Empress Zita, it won't come as a surprise that many of their descendants regularly attend church services honouring their ancestors and also give lectures about them. This time it is Archduke Imre's turn to do so.
The oldest son of Archduke Carl-Christian of Austria and Princess Marie-Astrid of Luxembourg and his American-born wife Archduchess Kathleen will be in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 24. The couple will attend a mass honouring Blessed Emperor Karl at the Sacred Heart Church at 11am. Afterwards, Archduke Imre will give a lecture about his great-grandfather, the last ruler of the Austro-Hungarian empire, who was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2004.
