On Friday, Grand Duke Henri welcomed members of the Royal Air Forces Association as well as the British ambassador to Luxembourg, Alice Walpole, at the palais for an audience. The Royal Air Forces Association gathered in Luxembourg this weekend to
remember British and Commonwealth pilots who died in Luxembourg during the course of World War II. The Grand Duke is the patron of the Luxembourgish branch of the association. For pictures and more information, have a look at Wort in English.
Over the course of the last few days the Grand Duke's brother Prince Jean attended the 15th annual session of Crans Montana Forum which took place in Brussels this year. Founded in 1986 in Crans Montana, the Swiss organisation's aim is to give a platform for direct contacts between business, government and political leaders of from around the world. Other regular participants in the Forum's activities include Hereditary Prince Alois as well as his second cousin once removed Prince Anton of Liechtenstein. Check out their website to see who the other illustrious members of the Forum are and to find further information. They also have a few visuals of the events.
Meanwhile in London, the Grand Duke's cousin Prince Robert and his lovely wife, Princess Julie, were scheduled to attend the Jazz Foundation of America’s 22nd annual Loft Party in Chelsea earlier tonight. A tribute to Claude Nobs, the event featured music, food, drinks and a whole lot of fun (or so I presume).
