Those of you following the Liechtenstein news on our blog have probably already caught by now that there is a bit of a special thing going on between the German-speaking countries. In difference to a few weeks ago, German-speaking countries this time around does not mean all countries where
German is an official language (Sorry Belgium and Luxembourg, you're
out) but all countries where the majority of the population speaks
German as a native language (Hi there, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein
and Switzerland, welcome to the club!)
Yesterday, the Ministers of Economic Affairs from Austria, Germany and Switzerland were hosted by their Liechtenstein counterpart Thomas Zwiefelhofer to talk current economic affairs and challenges. Zwiefelhofer and Johann Schneider-Ammann of Switzerland, Austrian Reinhold Mitterlehner and Sigmar Gabriel of Germany were also received by Hereditary Prince Alois at Schloss Vaduz to round off the day.
