Earlier today, Hereditary Prince Alois received the President of the Constitutional Court of Liechtenstein (Staatsgerichtshof des Fürstentums Liechtenstein), as well as the members of other court delegations at Vaduz Castle. On Monday, the Federal Constitutional Court will meet with delegates from the Austrian Constitutional Court, the Swiss Federal Court, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the European Court of Justice (ECJ). The meeting among these judicial delegations occurs every two years, and this year’s focus is on balancing national rights with the fundamental rights determined by the ECHR, as well as the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. The overarching discussion will focus on data retention, information sharing, and banking and fiscal consolidation, all within the context of individual rights.
