Grand Duke Henri officially opened the new headquarters of Luxembourg Air Rescue at Findel Airport today. The new site and three hangars are spread out over 7,000 square metres. The Luxembourg Air Rescue (LAR) operates five planes and five helicopters. The private humanitarian air rescue organisation aims to save human lives in Luxembourg, the Greater Region surrounding the Grand Duchy and worldwide in disaster relief operations. The new site will also be used in cases of emergency at Findel Airport as it can be used to care for up to 50 injured people in case of an attack or plane crash.
