Pre-Christmas Traditions

One of the events of the Princely Family that I have always liked (and actually knew before I got more interested in them) is their tradition of paying visits to some of the country's social institutions in the week or two before Christmas. After Princess Marie had already visited the hospital in Vaduz on Friday, it was time for her and her daughter-in-law Hereditary Princess Sophie today to pay a visit to the residential care facility for the elderly "St. Theodul" in Triesenberg. During the visit the two princesses happily chatted with the senior citizens and also brought little presents for them.

A gallery of pictures of both visits can be found at Vaterland. (FYI - during the visit to the hospital, Princess Marie wore a red jumper and a pink cardigan during the visit to the retirement home, Hereditary Princess Sophie only accompanied her mother-in-law for the second visit.)
