Sophie Receives 200,000 Swiss Francs for Syrian Children

The government and municipalities of Liechtenstein have donated 100,000 Swiss Francs each to the International Red Cross to help finance winter clothes for about 6000 Syrian children. Today, Hereditary Princess Sophie, as president of the Principality's branch of the organisation, received Liechtenstein's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education and Culture Aurelia Frick, Vaduz mayor Ewald Ospelt, the head of the municpality of Balzers Hansjörg Büchel, as well as Liechtenstein Red Cross delegate Christian Tohmé at Schloss Vaduz for the symbolic handing over of the cheque.
