Busy Grand Duke

Grand Duke Henri has had a couple of events during the past few days, which we are conveniently simply going to cover in this one post so brace yourself for not one but five event:

On October 5th, the Grand Duke celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Fondation Servais at the Mierscher Kulturhaus. A picture of it can be found on the website on the cour.

On Friday afternoon, Grand Duke Henri visited the exhibition "Une passion royale pour l'art, Guillaume II des Pays-Bas et Anna Pavlovna" - a royal passion for art, Willem II of the Netherlands  and Anna Pavlovna - at the Villa Vauban. No pictures of it are seemingly available yet.

Last Friday night, SOS Villages d'Enfants celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. The Grand Duchess is the patroness of the organisation but she was represented by the Grand Duke for the occasion. For a picture, check out Chronicle.lu.

Yesterday, Grand Duke Henri officially opened the Home & Living Fair at Luxexpo. Visuals of it can be found at Wort and probably on most other Luxembourgish websites.

And last but very certainly not least: Today was Luxembourg's national commemoration day. To mark the occasion, the Grand Duke attended a mass at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame and afterwards laid a wreath at the Monument vun der nationaler Solidaritéit on the Kanounenhiwwel where he also relit the eternal flame before visiting the insides of the memorial to sign the golden book.
