Once upon a time there was a young and beautiful woman named Maria Teresa, who gave birthday to a little boy just eight months and twenty-five days after her fairytale wedding to the handsome Hereditary Grand Duke of the world's only Grand Duchy. The little prince whose name was Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie was born by Caesarean section at the
Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in the city of Luxembourg.
Thirty years forward, the cute baby grew up to be a handsome Hereditary Grand Duke himself who is celebrating his birthday today.
And it didn't go without notice in the last couple of days, as Guillaume was busy marking his milestone day by giving an insight into all facets of his life. In case you haven't done so yet, I can only recommend you to read all the posts leading up to Guillaume's big day. He gave an extensive interview to eight Luxembourgish journalists from the different newspapers; for a summary have a look
here and
here. Luxembourg's major TV station RTL celebrated the birthday by broadcasting a two-part documentary about his official and private life; just have a look
here and
here.
If you still haven't got enough, there are three radio interviews Guillaume has given leading up to his birthday.
DNR will broadcast their interview at midday today, followed by the interview on
Eldoradio in the afternoon. The third interview will be aired on Saturday at noon on
RTL Radio. Should you live in Belgium, you can also watch
Place Royale; and if you are not in Belgium and have found a way to watch it, please let us know.
