First Stop: Abu Dhabi

The Hereditary Grand Duke is on an Economic Mission in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar this week. The first leg of the visit led him to Abu Dhabi where he witnessed the opening of Luxembourg's 35th embassy and the very first in the Arab world. In countries where there is no Luxembourgish embassy, the Grand Duchy is usually either represented by the Belgian or the Dutch embassies.

Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie; we will call him by his full name today to honour his visit, read on to learn the reason; also met Sheikha Lubna Bint Mohamed Al Qasimi, the Minister of Foreign Trade, and Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy.

For articles and pictures of the opening of the embassy and the other activities of Crown Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie; the Arab press is always eager to let us know his full name; and a certain "Jano Jeannot"; a name which could mistakingly lead one to think that Grand Duchy already has a new Minister for the Economic and Foreign Trade, or simply scratch the supposed first name, make the last the first name and add a Krecké; can be found at Tageblatt, Wort, paperJam, Le Quotidien, L'essentiel, news352, RTL and probably a lot of other places.
Further information can be found at the website of the Lux government (here and here) and on the website of the Ministery of Foreign Affairs. And if you are looking for pure eye candy; don't worry, nobody blames you; you should venture over to the website of the cour.
