Two Audiences, Merite Jeunesse and More Preperations

With everyone - including this blog - focusing on the big wedding, it is easy to miss those other events that members of the Grand Ducal family participated in. For example on October 10th, there was an audience with the President of the International Criminal Court Song Sang-Hyun for the Grand Duke.

Or even earlier on October 5th, Grand Duke Henri welcomed the honorary consuls of Germany, Austria, Hungary, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica at the palais.

Also, the Grand Duke's youngest brother Prince Guillaume was out and about when he visited Esch-sur-Alzette on October 10th to spark interest in young people to particpate in the Mérite Jeunesse. Meanwhile, the final stages of the wedding preperations are under way: Earlier today streets in the city of Luxembourg were closed down so that it could be timed how long a car actually needs to go from (insert here where the guests are staying) to the cathedral.
