Guillaume Goes Poetic

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume had a bit of a busy birthday on Friday. After visiting the Salon de Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg together with his wife, he attended an academic session on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the death of Luxembourgish national poet Edmond de la Fontaine, better known under his pen name Dicks. Along with Michel Lentz and Michel Rodange, he is one of the most important figures in the history of Luxembourgian literature. In addition, his work Luxemburger Sitten und Bräuche was one of the most influential early ethnographies on the Luxembourgian people.
