Opening an Exhibition

After the silver treasury of the Grand Ducal family was presented in the German capital Berlin earlier this year (around the time of the state visit to Germany), it can now be seen at the Musée national d’histoire et d’art Luxembourg. Earlier today Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were present for the opening of the exhibition. Some of the pieces will be removed from the exhibition during the time of the wedding as they will actually be used for the dinner and other celebrations. The awesome Manuel Dias has a gallery of pictures of today's opening event.

  1. I am not too interested in silver, but have it on my list in case I have some time left during my three days in Luxemburg. But it is just too bad they have to remove pieces for the wedding - and I am sure that are just the pieces I'd like to see most.

  2. They say that it's worth it even without the pieces but I understand what you mean. How long are you staying in Luxembourg?
