On Wednesday, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attended a conference on the Congress of Vienna. The conference titled "The Congress of Vienna: A Refoundation of Europe 1814-1815" was held at the Neumunster Abbey.
This year marks the bicentennial of the Congress of Vienna. The Congress and the German Confederation created by the Congress affected Luxembourg, Nassau and each branch of the Nassau dynasty (101 in the making). Several other conferences are planned in various locations throughout the year to mark the bicentennial.
