On Wednesday, Grand Duke Henri received Francisco van der Hoff (also sometimes known as Frans van der Hoff or Francisco VanderHoff Boersma) for an audience at the palais. The Dutchman is a co-inventor of the Max Havelaar label, the world's first Fairtrade Certification Mark, which was launched in 1988. Mr van der Hoff is currently on a visit to the Grand Duchy for a conference organised by Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg entitled "Making Trade Fairer – Unlocking the Power of the Many".
