Alois and Sophie in Geneva

Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie whiled in Geneva today for an array of meetings. Their prime reason to visit the Swiss city was to meet with Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The Hereditary Princess became the president of the Liechtenstein branch of the organisation in May of this year and today was her introductory visit. During their meeting they talked about the priorities and current activities of the International Red Cross.

While in Geneva, Hereditary Princess Sophie also used the chance to meet with Elhadj As Sy, Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Hereditary Prince Alois, meanwhile, had meetings with Michael Møller, Director General of the United Nations Office in Geneva; Kristinn F. Árnason, Secretary General of the European Free Trade Association; as well as Fernando de Mateo, President of the General Council of the World Trade Organisation.
