It's European Microfinance Week in Luxembourg, organized by the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP), and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was present at the European Investment Bank to hand out the €100,000 prize. This award, given out for the sixth year, goes to one of three finalists that were selected from among 47 applicants who hail from 28 different countries. The finalists themselves were chosen based on the criteria for this year's theme "Financial Inclusion for Sustainable Development."
And the winner is...Le Credit Rural de Guinée, which is being recognized for their actions during the tragic Ebola epidemic.
