Félix and Claire Expecting a Girl?

Germany's Bild newspaper is reporting that according to "royal circles" Prince Félix and Princess Claire are expecting a girl. They also made the amazing discovery that the baby will likely be born in the next two weeks which will come as a total surprise (not) to everyone as it was announced by the cour grand-ducale that the future prince or princess will be born in June and all but three days of June lie in the next two weeks. Apart from the fact that the Bild article also mentions that the parents-to-be met during their time in Rome which they didn't, I guess they could be right. After all almost everyone has around a 50% chance of having a boy and a 50% chance of having a girl, so the odds are at least 50% in favour of what Bild just wrote.

Funny. Felix mentioned in one of the interviews made last month that Claire will give birth before National Day (he did not say that exacly but it was clear from what he said). There was also special wine collection in Place Royal video with the date 14th June (I think), so I am expecting the announcement about the birth soon... And nearly all royal babies born in last years are girls, so why not:-) Girls are in:-D

  2. Yup, the article is a bit ridiculous. I wonder who their royal sources were, I hope it wasn't the fact that Claire wore pink recently (as she also wore blue a day later). Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a girl, after all chances are 49% ;) I also thought that the baby would be born mid-June and thus I was a little surprised to see Claire out and about so much at the beginning of this month. Then again, isn't there an old wives tale of girls always being born a little after the due date?!

  3. A girl would be nice for the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, since their other grandchildren are both boys.
