Old News, New News and Possible News

On Wednesday Max 14th, Prince Philipp was in Lausanne where he visited the Fondation de l’Hermitage museum. Houses in a 19th-century residence overlooking the Swiss town, the museum holds a number of fine arts exhibitions each year. Originally owned by the Bugnion banking family, the museum has been open since 1984.

Over the course of the weekend the Life Ball, Europe's the biggest charity event supporting people with HIV or AIDS, took place in Vienna. And so on Friday night a VIP reception took place at the Princely Family's Stadtpalais. Attended by former US President Bill Clinton, the event was apparently hosted by LGT Austria as well as Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, wife of Prince Constantin.

Since the beginning of the year there have been a number of concerts in Liechtenstein which were possibly attended by Hereditary Princess Sophie. The Podiumskonzerte, a music competition and series of concerts for young classical musicians giving them a chance to play in front of larger crowds and thus act as a kind of incentive, are held under the patronage of the Hereditary Princess. Her patronage is mentioned in basically every article about the concerts, however, I have never actually read whether she was there. Looking at a video of the latest concert, it's possible that she is seated in the first row but I'm not entirely sure.

The always interview-giving Liechtensteins were at it again, this time in the person of the Hereditary Prince who talked to one of the Principality's two newspapers, Liechtensteiner Vaterland.

Meanwhile in Luxembourg, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie attended a discussion forum of this year's CTIF international youth leader commission symposium on Friday. The CTIF is the international association of fire and rescue services and their youth leader commission meeting took place in the Grand Duchy over the course of the second half of the last week.
